There was an old farmer in Sussex did dwell & he'd an old wife as many knew well to me falderol little lawday The devil he came to the old man at plough saying one of your family I must have now to me falderol little lawday Now it isn't for you nor yet for your son but that little old wife as you've got at home to me falderol little lawday Oh take her, oh take her with all of my heart & I wish that you may never more part to me falderol little lawday So the devil he took the old wife on his back & he lugged her along like a pedlar's pack to me falderol little lawday He trudged along 'til he got to hell's gate saying here won't you take an old Sussex chap's mate to me falderol little lawday There was thirteen imps all dancing in chains she up with her pattens & beat out their brains to me falderol little lawday Two more little devils jumped over the wall saying turn her out father she'll murder us all to me falderol little lawday So he bundled her up on his back amain & to her old husband he took her again to me falderol little lawday I've been a tormenter the whole of my life but I was never tormented 'til I met your wife to me falderol little lawday And now to conclude & make an end you see that us women are strong even when we get sent to hell we come straight back again to me falderol little lawday

Another day is over & you are drifting & soon I will follow & all is quiet except for the breathing that's beating on the pillow. I hope that you dream of beaches at dusk with bats flying over your head & off in the distance tiny lights flicker burning yellow & red. While you're skimming stones across the ocean I run barefoot through a wood & right there beside me eyes are watching from places where trees once stood, This well trodden path,I know it by heart for it winds its way through my mind & as much as it scares me I journey onwards to dreams of a sweeter kind. The path leads me here to meet with the ocean I watch as the tide comes in & it carries a stone that lands beside me grey & smooth & thin. I lift my head to face the sky & sing a song filled with joy & trust that it travels across the ocean to meet with my darling boy. I hope that you dream of beaches at dusk with bats flying over your head & off in the distance the sun is rising burning yellow & red.

Phoenix 03:15
You weave your ancient tales long lost stories of old the fireside remembrance distraction from the cold. Let's make a happy ending to transform this tale of woe. Let the moment take you away & who knows where we may go. So take my hand and follow me for to run with the wolves this night & sing our song to the sky up above & we dance in the firelight. ooh dance with me tonight. I see your spirit awaken eyes like burning gold. The flames they make you richer still & shield you from the cold & they say that the cry of the phoenix soars like a beautiful song. Relive this night a thousand times & keep the spirit strong. So take my hand and follow me for to fly with the owls this night & join the hunt in the sky up above & we dance in the firelight. ooh dance with me tonight, So weave your ancient tales long lost stories of old. The fireside remnants that keep you from the cold & pull me ever closer when the time is right take my hand & come with me & dance with me tonight, So take my hand & come with me for we need not fear the night, The stars shine on in the sky up above & we dance in the firelight. ooh dance with me tonight.

The Flounder 04:10
There once was a fisherman who lived in the west a man of the river, a man of the sea who'd work all day long & never take rest with only the fishes for company. Be it high tide, low tide, only the fishes for company. He lived his life so humble & free with all he could want & all he could need. But he & his wife they would never agree for she was a woman of greed. Be it high tide, low tide, she was a woman of greed. Oh catch me a flounder Johnny my dear for I tire of these shoals of herring. We seem to get poorer year by year & my patience it is waring. Be it high tide, low tide, her patience it was waring. The next day a flounder emerged from below caught in a net with the seaweed. I'll grant you a wish if you'll just let me go, & happily Johnny agreed. Be it high tide, low tide, happily Johnny agreed. He wished for his supper & she wished for gold & soon they were rich as Kings. But after a time, their love it grew cold replaced by material things. Be it high tide, low tide, all for material things. It's said that poor Johnny still works on the sea he says that if marriage is something you seek & you want a life that's humble & free then never trust fish that can speak. Be it high tide, low tide, never trust fish that can speak. Be it high tide, low tide, don't trust a fish that can speak

This Life 03:10
Now and then we all must manage what's on our mind & in our heart from scoundrels, thieves, to tender lovers the world moves around & we play our part. The world moves around it goes on & on don't let it pass you by. My friend if there's on thing you do with this life don't let it pass you by. Curl up small right here beside me lay your pride & fear aside. Let these loving arms surround you with the setting of the sun & the turn of the tide. The world moves around it goes on & on don't let it pass you by. My friend if there's on thing you do with this life don't let it pass you by. I can see your mind is racing let me help you work it out. I will try & ease your burden, soothe your pain & remove your doubt. The world moves around it goes on & on don't let it pass you by. My friend if there's on thing you do with this life don't let it pass you by. The world moves around it goes on & on don't let it pass you by. My friend if there's on thing you do with this life don't let it pass you by. It goes on & on don't let it pass you by. My friend if there's on thing you do with this life don't let it pass you by.

Lord Rendall 03:28
Where've you been all the day Rendall my son? Where've you been all the day my pretty one? I've been to me sweethearts & make my bed soon for I'm sick to my heart & I fain would lie down. What have you eaten Rendall my son? What have you eaten my pretty one? Eels & broth mother & make my bed soon for I'm sick to my heart & I fain would lie down. Where did she get them from Rendall my son? Where did she get them my pretty one? From hedges & ditches & make my bed soon for I'm sick to my heart & I fain would lie down. What colour were the eels Rendall my son? What colour were they my pretty one? Spicket & sparkit & make my bed soon for I'm sick to my heart & I fain would lie down. What will you give your father Rendall my son? What will you give him my pretty one? My houses & land mother & make my bed soon for I'm sick to my heart & I fain would lie down. What will you give your mother Rendall my son? What will you give me my pretty one? oh gold & silver & make my bed soon for I'm sick to my heart & I fain would lie down. What will you give your girl Rendall my son? What will you give her my pretty one? A rope to hang her & make my bed soon for I'm sick to my heart & I fain would lie down.

One fine October morning the sun shone all around such a lovely time of year to be working on the ground & many a friend surrounded us come to enjoy the day & work upon their plot of land all in their own way. Tell me the ways of the past & teach me how to grow show me the ways of the land through sunshine, wind, rain & snow. I'm from the generation of new technology. I grew up in a time of change & 90's kids TV. But please don't judge too harshly we really try our best, You'll be surprised how much we care & we'll soon pick up the rest. Tell me the ways of the past & teach me how to grow show me the ways of the land through sunshine, wind, rain & snow. For it's you that knows the secrets & it's you that holds the key & passing on tradition sustains our history. & it's true that sometimes things get lost & slowly fade away. So before they do let's sing a tune in remembrance of today. Tell me the ways of the past & teach me how to grow show me the ways of the land through sunshine, wind, rain & snow. You are glowing, I can see it, the light shines brightly through the dark. Every step you take inspires a fire that blazes from a spark. I'm strong again, a little frayed around the edges. Banks & bosses, politicians, they must think that we forget. That sometimes power breeds thieves & liars & Robin Hood ain't turned up yet. What's happening? This country's upside down. Life gets on top of me it climbs on my shoulders & sits there comfortably digging in its heels. Sometimes I feel it, sometimes I forget, mostly I just brush it off & remember what you said 'we're living in interesting times'. Big smiles & all that matters, is that we stand up for our rights. No matter how mad it makes you use words not fists to win the fight. I'm free again you saved me from myself.

The clouds remain suspended, peacefully they watch on the water stumbles onwards through the rocks. Eyes closed, arms open & rose tinted cheeks. A spotty dress that's been ripped to shreds from climbing in the trees. Did you ever play that game where you spin round, lay on the ground & feel the earth move all around? I bear witness as the moon chases the sun away there's never been a more crystal clear night. Eyes closed arms wide open the cold it pinched my cheeks a hat that barely fits my head & boots upon my feet. Did you ever play that game where you spin round, lay on the ground & feel the earth move all around? There's not enough people who ever stop to think & there's far too much appreciation for the wrong thing. & our lives are conditioned but it's self inflicted. Did you ever stop to think? Did you ever play that game where you spin round, lay on the ground & feel the earth move all around? Did you ever stop to think? Did you ever stop to think?

The summer is fading & autumns approaching the air it is crisp & dry I find myself thinking, I watch I drink in the beauty of the sky. The winters grow harsher, the summers seem shorter no trace of the past can be found. The leaves turn to gold & fall down gently to rest on the littered ground. The gold it glistens & shines in the sunlight but people just walk on by. They don't even see it, they trample straight through it & still they pass along by. Now wealth it comes in different measures the mind, the heart & the soul. But some people go by the depth of their pockets & count it in silver & gold. Though times they are tough, fine riches surround you it isn't so hard to find. Just open your eyes, take a good look around you & I bet you will be surprised. For the verges have withered & bleached in the sunlight perhaps its a sign of the times as harvest draws nearer I hope to see clearer but I fear we shall pay for our crimes. The summer is fading & autumns approaching the air it is crisp & dry.

Of all the trades in England a begging is the best for when a beggar's tired you can lay him down to rest & a begging I will go & a begging I will go x2 I've a pocket for me oatmeal another for me rye a bottle by me side that I can drink when I am dry & a begging I will go & a begging I will go x2 I've patches on me back & a black patch on me knee & when you come to take me home I'll drink as well as thee & a begging I will go & a begging I will go x2 I sleep beneath an open tree & there I pay no rent & providence provides for me & I am well content & a begging I will go & a begging I will go x2 I fear no plots against me for I live an open cell & who would be a King then when beggars live so well? & a begging I will go & a begging I will go x2 Of all the trades in England a begging is the best for when a beggar's tired you can lay him down to rest & a begging I will go & a begging I will go x12

By The Shore 08:32
At eve I wandered by the shore & watched the tide come in. I heard the distant breaker roar with hoarse resounding din. Then onward came the flowing tide nights shadows fell around. Enshrouding all the ocean wide in mystic gloom profound. Then from the rocky steep afar shone out a beacon light. More brightly shining like a star as darker grew the night. With constant steady ray it beamed resplendent o'er the sea & through the gloomy darkness seemed a star of hope to be.
