about

Drifting Point was the title track for our five track EP in 2011. We have taken three of the tracks from the EP and rearranged them for the album with full band. Drifting Point is a song about recurring dreams & a lovely beach in Wales.

lyrics

Another day is over & you are drifting
& soon I will follow
& all is quiet except for the breathing
that's beating on the pillow.
I hope that you dream of beaches at dusk
with bats flying over your head
& off in the distance tiny lights flicker
burning yellow & red.

While you're skimming stones across the ocean
I run barefoot through a wood
& right there beside me eyes are watching
from places where trees once stood,
This well trodden path,I know it by heart
for it winds its way through my mind
& as much as it scares me I journey onwards
to dreams of a sweeter kind.

The path leads me here to meet with the ocean
I watch as the tide comes in
& it carries a stone that lands beside me
grey & smooth & thin.
I lift my head to face the sky
& sing a song filled with joy
& trust that it travels across the ocean
to meet with my darling boy.

I hope that you dream of beaches at dusk
with bats flying over your head
& off in the distance the sun is rising
burning yellow & red.
