about

Silver & Gold is about the recession in the UK & that though times may be tough and money may be scarce there are riches that aren't necessarily of monetary value that surround us every day.

lyrics

The summer is fading & autumns approaching
the air it is crisp & dry
I find myself thinking, I watch I drink in
the beauty of the sky.

The winters grow harsher, the summers seem shorter
no trace of the past can be found.
The leaves turn to gold & fall down gently
to rest on the littered ground.

The gold it glistens & shines in the sunlight
but people just walk on by.
They don't even see it, they trample straight through it
& still they pass along by.

Now wealth it comes in different measures
the mind, the heart & the soul.
But some people go by the depth of their pockets
& count it in silver & gold.

Though times they are tough, fine riches surround you
it isn't so hard to find.
Just open your eyes, take a good look around you
& I bet you will be surprised.

For the verges have withered & bleached in the sunlight
perhaps its a sign of the times
as harvest draws nearer I hope to see clearer
but I fear we shall pay for our crimes.

The summer is fading & autumns approaching
the air it is crisp & dry.
